Staying in Garden Cottage offers all the convenience of town with the beauty & freedom of our glorious countryside. Located on Cravengate, the Market Place is 5 - 10 minutes’ walk and the River Swale and Billy Banks Woods are even nearer.

We offer a warm welcome, attention to detail and high standards of care at Garden Cottage. Our aim is to give our visitors a pleasant place to stay where they can relax and make themselves at home, whilst enjoying all that Richmond, Swaledale and the surrounding area have to offer.

Garden Cottage is inspected annually by VisitEngland and is listed with the prestigious Alastair Sawday guides. Recently the inspector wrote: "This is a unique cottage, sympathetically converted to provide very good quality holiday accommodation. Good on-site parking...Gardens are a speciality of the owners - superb access and grounds at Garden Cottage - excellent hospitality and freshly arranged garden flowers for guests".

The cottage is within a short walking distance of the cobbled market square, restaurants, cafes and pubs - enjoy an evening out without needing to drive. Castle, woodland and riverside all within a short walk.

Garden Cottage sleeps 6 in  2 double and 1 twin bedrooms. Children welcome. Dogs stay at no extra charge.
